Carya illinoinensis

Pecans don’t need much of an explanation. They are a delicious nut with a thin, easy to crack shell. These are open pollinated seedlings grown from from Colby and Posey trees that are growing in the Bloomington, IL area zone 5b.

Zone 4 hardy, but I can’t say for sure if they will produce nuts colder than zone 5b.

1st year bare root seedling.
